McDonald's Slimming Down Menu

(Oak Brook, IL) -- McDonald’s is cutting eight items from its menu and implementing other changes to help boost its declining sales. McDonald's CEO Don Thompson announced Wednesday that only a small part of its menu accounts for 80-percent of its sales and the cut will speed up its service time. Thompson also said McDonald's is cutting the number of Extra Value Meals and giving more autonomy to local operators so they cater to their own market. McDonald's is also exploring the idea that will allow customers to build their own sandwich.
