Feasibility Study In Regard To Asian Carp Business Approved By Pekin City Council
(Pekin, IL) -- Members of the Pekin City Council gave the go ahead earlier this week to do a feasibility study on a business that would capitalize on Asian Carp. City officials believe that Pekin is a perfect site for such a business because of how close it is to the Illinois River. The study will be done at a cost of $8,000. City officials say the study will include research on Asian Carp as a food source and also for job creation.
