Search Warrant Leads To Arrest Of Canton Man On Drug Charges
(Canton, IL) -- A Canton man is facing drug charges after the West Central Illinois Special Response Team executed their initial search warrant last week. Canton police say they search warrant was executed at a home located at 435 1/2 East Oak Street in Canton. Arrested was 61-year old Jerald Pratt on charges of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver 30 to 500 grams. The search warrant was executed on the home Friday afternoon at about 4:30. Authorities say that an investigation of the home had been ongoing for several months. The West Central Illinois Special Response Team is made up of members of the Canton Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
Bar Altercation In Canton Leads To Arrest Of Canton Woman
(Canton, IL) -- A Canton woman is facing charges after police were dispatched last month to a downtown tavern in regard to a physical disturbance that was taking place. Canton police say that officers were dispatched to the Brue & Cue on Sunday, November 30th for the altercation. Upon arrival, police met with the victim, a 32-year old Canton female. Witnesses also told police that the suspect, 30-year old Kathy J. Denning had pulled the hair and scratched the victim above the left eye during the altercation. Denning was then arrested and while being handcuffed allegedly tried to pull away from the officer. She also allegedly was trying to refuse to be put in the squad car. She was taken to the Canton Police Department to be processed on charges of battery and resisting a peace officer. Denning then posted a $150 cash bond and a $20 processing fee and was released. She was given a January Fulton County Court date in Lewistown.
Active Warrant Results In Canton Woman’s Arrest
(Canton, IL) -- A Canton woman who was wanted on an active warrant turned herself in to authorities in Canton over the weekend. Canton police say that 20-year old Sybellen K. Mulligan went to the police department Sunday afternoon at just after 3:45 to turn herself in on a 2014 Fulton County Misdemeanor Warrant for disorderly conduct. After being arrested for the valid warrant, Mulligan posted a $100 cash bond and a $20 processing fee before being released. She was given a January Fulton County Court date in Lewistown.
Man Wanted In Friday Shooting Turns Self In
(Peoria, IL) -- Authorities in Peoria say the man accused of being involved in a shooting in the River City on Friday has been arrested. Dion Graham turned himself in to Peoria Police on Monday. police arrested him on a charge of attempted murder. The shooting happened Friday night at about 5 in the 2200 block of North Ellis in Peoria. Police say the victim, Christopher Stepter, was shot in the chest after the two had allegedly been in an argument. Stepter was taken to a Peoria hospital to be treated following the shooting. Authorities say that Stepter's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Former Teacher Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges
(Edwardsville, IL) -- A former Granite City teacher says she's guilty of holding on to less than 15 grams of heroin. Paulina Suess made the plea in court yesterday. The former fourth grade teacher was busted back in 2011 after someone called cops and told them there was drug activity going on inside her home. Cops went to search the home and found four buttons, or capsules, of the drug in Suess' possession. She could spend up to three years behind bars.
Missing Man Shows Up At Hotel
(Collinsville, IL) -- A missing man from Collinsville is safe. David McAdams was reported missing by his wife last Thursday. He'd gone to the doctor's office and then to the bank but never went back home that night. Officials say they found him at a southern Illinois hotel yesterday. He reportedly went there voluntarily and there was no crime or foul play involved in his disappearance.
