Quinn Not Giving Up Hope On Minimum Wage

(Springfield, IL) -- Governor Pat Quinn says he's still fighting to get the minimum wage raised even though state representatives wrapped up veto session without a vote. It could be Quinn's last hoorah as governor. He's been pushing to get the increase for several years now and vowed to get it done before he leaves office. The senate cleared a plan that would boost the wage to 11-dollars-an-hour by 2019 but the House adjourned without a vote. They're not expected to come back to Springfield until next month but there's talk that Quinn will call them back before then.
