Peoria Rollover Accidents Injures Two
(Peoria, IL) -- A two car rollover accident on Wednesday in Peoria resulted in two people being trapped in their vehicle. Authorities in Peoria say the accident happened at the intersection of Knoxville and West Lake in Peoria yesterday. Authorities say they had to remove the top of the car in order to remove the two victims. Both were taken to a Peoria hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the accident, but authorities say the injuries did not appear to be life threatening. The driver of the second vehicle refused treatment.
Pekin Woman Facing Animal Cruelty Charges
(Pekin, IL) -- A Pekin woman who is facing charges after authorities found two dogs dead in her home was in Tazewell County Circuit Court on Wednesday. 43-year old Regina Robards is facing two counts of animal cruelty. The first dog was found dead last week on Monday, while the second dog was discovered over the weekend on Saturday. The dogs were located in her home that is in the 1500 block of Howard Court in Pekin. Robards is due back in Tazewell County Circuit Court on January 7th. She was given more time to find a lawyer.
Corn Spill Stalls Traffic On Illinois Route 116 Near Hanna City
(Hanna City, IL) -- A corn spill at the intersection of Illinois Route 116 and Conn Road on Wednesday near Hanna City stalled traffic in the area for a time. Authorities say that the driver of a semi truck carrying corn lost about 500 bushels of the corn from the truck when an automatic dump was accidently opened. The road then became slippery and caused cars to crash, but authorities say no injuries resulted from the accidents.
