Blagojevich Track Record Hangs Over Casino Suit

(Chicago, IL) -- The alleged pay-to-play shakedowns by ex-Governor Rod Blagojevich are at the bottom of civil trial underway in Chicago pitting Illinois casinos against racetracks. The imprisoned governor allegedly squeezed a track owner for a 100-thousand-dollar campaign donation in exchange for his support for a bill requiring casinos to pay money into a fund to benefit the tracks. The casinos are trying to get their money, millions of dollars of it, back from the tracks.
