(Peoria, IL) -- The Peoria City Council okayed a multi-million-dollar loan that will help pay for the creation of a new youth sports facility. Last week, City Council members decided to allow Mark Peterson to take out the loan in order to build the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex. City officials say the three-million-dollar loan will be due next year, and that the city will charge four-percent interest on it. Once completed, the site is expected to include baseball diamonds, an indoor sports dome, and a hotel.
