Pekin Man Enters Guilty Plea In Connection To Drug Charges (Peoria, IL) – A Pekin man who had pleaded guilty last February to drug charges in Peoria Federal Court was back in court to be sentenced on Thursday. 23-year old Anthony Mansini entered the guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute heroin. He was sentenced to 24-years of prison time yesterday in U.S. Federal Court. Mansini was one of five who were arrested in connection with the distribution of heroin that resulted in the death of one person as well as the overdose of two others. Peoria Man Attempts To Suppress Evidence (Peoria, IL) – A Peorian who was one of three that were taken into custody in connection with a series of home invasions last year was in Peoria County Circuit Court on Thursday, trying to get some statements suppressed. 43-year old Perry Rosetto was attempting to have some statements that he made to police suppressed. The judge hearing the case denied that request. Rosetto faces over 40 charges in connection with the rash of home invasions last year. Pekin Man Sentenced For Driving Vehicle In Lake (Pekin, IL) – The driver of a car that was allegedly driven into Sunset Hills Lake in Pekin was in Tazewell County Circuit Court to be sentenced on Thursday. 35-year old Daniel Maxwell entered a guilty plea to charges of failure to notify police after damaging property. The plea was part of a plea bargain where other charges were dropped. Maxwell was sentenced to court supervision in regard to the matter. The incident occurred in September.
