Ousted Professor Sues U of I

(Champaign, IL) -- The U of I professor who was ousted before ever teaching a class wants a judge to step in. Steven Salaita had been offered a tenured position with the university but was fired over the summer after making anti-Israel comments on Twitter. The university took quite a bit of backlash over the decision but the board decided against giving Salaita the job back. Salaita's attorney has requested emails and other documents relating to the case but the university officials have refused to hand them over. Salaita is asking a judge to force the university to turn the documents over.
