Gastric Bypass Just As Safe As Other Surgeries For Type-2 Diabetics

(Undated) -- A new study says gastric bypass surgery is safe for people with type-two diabetes. Doctor Stacy Brethauer co-authored the study. Researchers compared the diabetic patients' mortality rates with different surgeries and found they were about the same for people who have gastric bypass. Doctor Brethauer hopes it lessens the anxiety of people considering the surgery as an option.
