First Anniversary Of Deadly Tornadoes
(Washington, IL) -- It’s been a full year, but people across Illinois are still trying to piece their lives back together after a deadly tornado outbreak ripped through 25 towns across the state. Eight people were killed and nearly 200 others injured on this day just one year ago. Hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed with property damage topping more than a-billion-dollars statewide. More than 800-million of that was in the town of Washington, just outside of Peoria. Debris from that twister was found as far as 150-miles away, in Chicago
