(Undated) -- J.C. Penny is reporting a smaller loss for the third quarter. The struggling retailer reported a net loss of 188-million dollars, or 62 cents per share in the quarter ending November 1st. That's compared to a net loss of 489-million dollars, or one dollar and 94 cents per share a year ago. J.C. Penny's revenue fell slightly after sluggish sales in October. J.C. Penny operates a retail store in Canton.
