Still No Winner In Treasurer's Race
(Springfield, IL) -- The state treasurer's race is still too close to call and now the Republican contender is crying foul. Tom Cross says thousands of people voted more than once in the Cook County suburbs. Election officials say those claims are unfounded and irresponsible. Right now, there seem to be several hundred votes separating Cross and Democrat Mike Frerichs and there are still thousands of votes that need to be counted. It could be at least another week, if not longer, before we know who'll be the next treasurer of Illinois.
