Peoria County Law Enforcement Center Named After Former Sheriff

(Peoria, IL) -- A former Illinois State Senator and the Peoria County Sheriff was recognized by the Peoria County Board last week. The "Law Enforcement Center was renamed to the George Shadid Law Enforcement Center during a dedication that took place Friday afternoon. Shadid served as the Peoria County Sheriff from 1976 to 1993.
