Canton Man Facing Multiple Charges (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man is facing charges after police in Canton responded to a call in regard to a truck that had struck two vehicles over the weekend. Police say the two vehicles struck were under a carport at a residence in the 1100 block of South 7th Avenue. The police report says that the vehicle was eastbound on Sam Scott Street from South 5th Avenue when it went through a resident’s yard and struck the two vehicles. After an investigation and speaking with witnesses and residents in the area the driver was identified as 45-year old Ronald Brandyberry. He was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where officers conducted field sobriety tests that Brandyberry allegedly failed. He was charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Brandyberry posted his driver's license, a $100 cash bond and a $20 processing fee. He was then released and given a December Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Police Canton Man For Theft (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man is facing charges for allegedly taking a piece of jewelry from an individual earlier this year. Authorities say that they were dispatched to 134 East Elm Street in Canton on Saturday in regard to a theft complaint. The victim, a 32 year old Canton female, told police that 25-year old Jason B. Bloomquist had posted a picture on Facebook in a group where items are sold of a 14 karat baby ring that had been taken from her residence in August. Officers from the Canton Police Department did meet with Bloomquist on Saturday. After an investigation into the matter, Bloomquist was arrested on Tuesday on a charge of theft under $500. He was taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed on the charge. He was given a notice to appear and released after being given a December Fulton County Court date in Lewistown. Warrant Arrest (Canton, IL) -- A London Mills man who was wanted on an active warrant was arrested earlier this week in Canton. Police say that 56-year old Timothy L. Day was wanted on two warrants. One a 2013 Fulton County Felony Warrant for violation of an order of protection; the second was a 2014 Fulton County Traffic Warrant for driving while his license was suspended. Day was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed for the warrants. He was unable to post bond and was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown. Peoria Driver Convicted In Fatal Accident (Peoria, IL) -- A Peoria man will be sentenced next month for a deadly crash that killed two people in August. Spencer Flier was convicted Tuesday on a charge of not reporting an accident involving death. Prosecutors say the driver struck and killed a man and a woman who were on a motorcycle. Flier is scheduled to be sentenced December 12th. Coroner: Bloomington Accountant Died From Multiple Gunshots (Bloomington, IL) -- McClean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says a woman found dead in her business office on Tuesday was shot to death. The victim is 53-year-old accountant Pamela Zimmerman. Kimmerling added that the death is regarded as suspicious. Bloomington Police are continuing their investigation. Police: Bradley University Students Were Harassed (Peoria, IL) -- Peoria Police are investigating a report that two Bradley University students were harassed earlier this week. A University spokesperson told "CentralIllinoisProud.com." that five teens assaulted two female students outside a residence hall on Monday. She says the young women said they were grabbed inappropriately. One of them told police that she was knocked to the ground and her phone was taken. Bradley and Peoria cops are looking for the suspects.
