Nik Wallenda Completes Blindfolded Tightrope Stunt In Chicago

(Chicago, IL) -- Daredevil Nik Wallenda is breathing a huge sigh of relief after completing a record tightrope walk between two Chicago skyscrapers last night -- while blindfolded. The first leg of the stunt broadcast live on Discovery had Wallenda walking up a 15-percent incline on a tightrope between the Marina City West Tower, across the Chicago River to the Leo Burnett building. After walking at street level back to the Marina City West Tower, he began the second and blindfolded leg over to the East Tower. Wallenda fought strong wind gusts during parts of the walk, which was about six-hundred feet up.
