Comedians Honor Richard Pryor, Raise Funds For Statue

(Peoria, IL) -- A group of comedians are raising money in Peoria to build a statue for late great funnyman Richard Pryor. Six comics, which included names like Mike Epps, Cedric the Entertainer and George Lopez took part in a "Night for Richard" at the Peoria Civic Center. The funds from Sunday night's event will help pay for a more than seven foot sculpture of Pryor, who was a native of Peoria. The statue is expected to be unveiled in April.
