Big Money Creeping Into Legislative Races
(Moline, IL) -- Money is playing a major role in this year's races for political office, and it's not just the governor's candidates who are spending big. The candidates who are vying for a state senate seat in the Moline district have dished out three-and-a-half-million-dollars. Republican Neil Anderson is trying to unseat Mike Jacobs in that race. And the two candidates hoping to replace Republican Mike Bost in southern Illinois are spending big. They've tossed more than two-million-dollars into the race.
