Blood Test Could Detect Lung Cancer Earlier

(Undated) -- Researchers are working towards a blood test that could detect lung cancer earlier. Doctor Peter Mazzone led a study that found there is a difference in chemicals in the blood of lung cancer patients called metabolites. Metabolites are chemicals that help cells grow and function. Doctor Mazzone says the metabolites in lung cancer patients have significant differences compared the people without the disease.
