Fulton County HEA Members Learn To Garden in the Shade

(Undated) -- Gardening in the shade is an art and science. There is a variety of plant options beyond the usual hosta and fern, and also other elements that are necessary to round out a space where you can truly relax and commune with nature. Members of the Fulton County Homemakers' Education Association are learning about this topic during the month of October. Members of HEA meet once a month to learn more about a specific subject. One person from each of the clubs or units in the county come to a meeting, usually held at the Fulton County Extension Office, to receive training from a University of Illinois Extension Educator or other specialist on the subject. They then take that information, plus a supply of printed materials back to their unit members at their next meeting. HEA members pay $13 year dues.
