Caterpillar Shows Strong Third Quarter Earnings

The heavy equipment maker's earnings in the quarter jumped to an adjusted dollar-72 a share, which beat analysts' estimates by almost 40 cents. Revenue rose to just over 13-point-five-billion, again well above what analysts expected.
