Meet the Candidates Event Held In Canton Wednesday Night

(Canton, IL) -- Residents of Fulton County had the opportunity Wednesday night to hear what candidates who appear on the ballot for the General Election next month had to say. Elaine Stone, the Manger of the Fulton County Farm Bureau, said that several candidates appeared at the "Meet the Candidates" event. In all 13 candidates attended the forum. The Libertarian Party was represented at the event. Alexander Cummings, the Lt. Governor candidate running with the parties’ candidate for Governor, Chad Grimm, Julie Fox, who is the Libertarian candidate for Illinois Comptroller and Sharon Hansen, the parties’ candidate for the U.S. Senate seat, all spoke during the forum. Last night’s forum took place at the Donaldson Center located in Wallace Park in Canton. The "Meet the Candidates" event was sponsored by the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee and the Fulton County Farm Bureau Legislative Committee.
