Canton School Board Recognizes Several Individuals During Meeting
(Canton, IL) -- The Canton Union School District 66 Board of Education met Monday night for their October meeting. During the Good News portion of the board meeting, several individuals were recognized. They included the Canton Ingersoll Girls Softball team on their 4th place finish at the IESA Class AA State Softball Tournament in Normal. Also recognized was the Canton Ingersoll Cross Country team, also for their 4th place finish at the IESA Class AA Sectional Cross Country meet. Taylor Tinsman was also recognized for her Apples for Autism, where she sold Apple Dumplings during the Spoon River Scenic Drive, donating $850 to the Lincoln School Sensory Room as well as $850 to the Fulton County Autism Fund. Jenny Beal was also recognized as the Board's Distinguished Guest.
