Voters Can Change Constitution
(Undated) -- Voters in Fulton County and the rest of Illinois are getting a chance to make a change to the state's constitution this November. A couple of constitutional amendments will be on the ballot. The first will give more rights to victims of violent crimes. It will ensure they get a fair shake when it comes to making a statement in court and being notified when their offender is released from jail or scheduled to appear in court. The other is a Right to Vote amendment, which will ensure that people can't be denied the right to vote based on their race, religion, sexual orientation or income.
