Anti-Violence Program Tied To Election

(Chicago, IL) -- Emails between a couple of Governor Quinn's former aides indicate that the NRI program could've been tied to efforts to secure black votes in the 2010 election. Quinn has denied claims that he put the program in place to boost his numbers but Republicans have a different view. Several people who helped implement the program testified before a legislative panel yesterday. They say they believed the program was less about politics and more about saving kids.
