Peoria Church Blesses Pets At Annual Service

(Peoria, IL) -- Several Peoria pet owners are feeling much better about their beloved canines, cats and birds. The United Presbyterian Church held its sixth annual "Blessing of the Animals" service on Sunday. The event, which took place in Laura Bradley Park, also included music and a brief scripture message. The church accepted donations, which go to Critters on Wheels. It's a program that provides meals for pets of senior citizens.
