Doctor: Hospitals Should Prepare For A Busy Fall
(Undated) -- Hospitals are gearing up for a very busy fall. In addition to cold and flu season, Doctor Michael Anderson says the potentially-fatal enterovirus D-68 may send even more people to medical facilities than usual. He also warned of RSV, or respiratory syncytial virus, ramping up as the year wears on. RSV causes respiratory infections most often in babies and older patients. Anderson urged people to remain calm about Ebola and expressed his confidence in both local and federal authorities being able to contain the disease.
