Court Rules In Favor Of Back Wages

(Undated) -- An Illinois appellate court ruled that employees of five state agencies should get back pay. The court ruled the employees should be paid in full even though the legislature didn't allocate the money for the wages. AFSCME Council 31 executive director Roberta Lynch says the decision is a win for employees. Earlier this summer, lawmakers did approve paying the employees some of the money they were owed, but it was less than half of the amount.
