Former Congressman LaHood Honored Over The Weekend
(Peoria, IL) -- One of the biggest voices for the Peoria area for many years was recognized over the weekend. Former Congressman and U.S. Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood, was given the Henri De Tonti award. LaHood was honored for his 36-years of public service by the Institute for Principal Leadership in Public Service as Bradley University teamed up with the Peoria Historical Society. The award is named after the founder of Peoria, Henri de Tonti.
