Farmers and Ag Industry Leaders Discuss Hot Topics During Canton Ag Roundtable

(Canton, IL) -- Farmers and Agriculture industry supporters gathered in Canton earlier this week to discuss issues that farmers are having to deal with currently. Among them was State Representative Don Moffitt of Gilson. Moffitt told those attending and listeners to WBYS/AM1560 that something that they have to deal with in Springfield on occasion is doing away with the sales tax exemption on Ag related products that farmers currently do not have to pay. Moffitt represents the 74th District in Illinois in the Illinois State House of Representatives. His district includes all or part of Knox, Mercer, Henry and Bureau counties.
