Cuba FFA Forestry Team Competes In Forestry Competition At SRC

(Cuba, IL) -- The Cuba FFA Forestry team participated in the Forestry competition that recently took place at Spoon River College in Canton. Jolene Haggerty led the Cuba FFA Forestry team at the competition that took place on Tuesday of this week. Vinney Whitehouse was the 2nd highest finisher for the Cuba FFA Forestry team. Logan Corsaw was the third highest for Cuba. In overall results, Haggerty finished 3rd overall, Whitehouse finished 4th and Corsaw finished 10th overall. In all there were 70 agricultural students who participated in the competition. Canton was the top finisher at the competition as a team, Cuba finished in 2nd, Midwest Central was 3rd, Spoon River Valley finished 4th, Virginia 5th, Havana 6th and Beardstown finished in 7th. The Forestry CDE was held at the Spoon River College Arboretum and provided a professional atmosphere for the contestants.
