Parade Winners Announced By Canton Friendship Festival

(Canton, IL) -- The Canton Friendship Festival has announced the winners of the float and band competitions that were judged Saturday before and during the parade. Float winners were 1st place, Princess Creations; 2nd place, the Girl Scouts; and 3rd place, Red Oak Estates. Band competition winners: Trophies went to Lewistown High School for best auxiliary; Farmington High School for best percussion and Lewistown High School for best drum major. Washington District 50 band received the 2nd runner up trophy; Bushnell-Prairie City High School was 1st runner up; and the Grand Champion in the band competition was Lewistown High School. The parade took place this past Saturday morning.
