United Way for Spoon River Country 12th Golf Ball Drop A Success

(Canton, IL) -- The United Way for Spoon River Country held their 12th annual Golf Ball Drop over the weekend on the Canton Friendship Festival grounds. Patti Oldfield, the Director of the local United Way says that the event was a big success once again. Over 1,300 golf balls were sold for this year’s drop. Winners of the three top prizes of this year’s golf ball drop were Tony Rolando who won the top prize of $1,000. Mark Sawyer won $250, while Brian Eddy won $100. The event is held between the Merchants Building at the festival and the Fulton County Health Department.
