Canton Friendship Festival Completes Successful Run

(Canton, IL) -- The 60th annual Canton Friendship Festival ended Saturday night. Saturday was a full day of activities taking place in Canton. The day started with the annual parade. After the parade, The Pulse of Peoria performed near the stage on the festival grounds. The festival then ended with a concert Saturday night. Individuals that are part of area churches Praise & Worship teams combined their efforts to start the concert. They were followed by the group About A Mile. The night ended with Dove Award winning and Emmy nominated group Newsong. Officials from the Festival told those attending the concert Saturday night that it was the largest Saturday night crowd attending the festival in recent years.
