General Downing Peoria International Airport To Receive Federal Funds

(Peoria, IL) -- U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and Congresswoman Cheri Bustos announced last week that over $2-million in federal funding will go toward the improvement of the General Downing Peoria International Airport. The will be used to fund the milling and overlay of approximately 4,700 feet of the airport entrance road as well as soil stabilization and pipe replacement to prevent further erosion. The announcement was made last week. The total amount of the grant if $2,434,267.
