State Accepting Apps For Medical Pot Businesses

(Undated) -- The state is now accepting applications from potential medical marijuana businesses. That includes a proposed marijuana retailer that would be located in the north end of Canton if the application is approved. Applications from those wishing to operate as a Medical Cannabis Center or Dispensary can be submitted through September 22nd. Program Manager Bob Morgan expects stiff competition for the job. There is also a proposed Medical Cultivation Center facility that is being proposed, located near Vermont. Potential businesses will have to meet several requirements and undergo stiff background checks. Patients are also encouraged to submit their applications for use of Medical Marijuana.
