Two Alleged Gang Members Enter Guilty Plea's In Federal Court In Peoria (Peoria, IL) -- Two men from Peoria who are allegedly part of the Zone Four Street Gang were in U.S. Federal Circuit Court in Peoria on Wednesday. 23-year old Tristan Shelton and 21-year old Willie Breedlove entered guilty plea's to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. The two men are expected to be back in federal court in early January to be sentenced. There are still four more suspects who are expected to be in court next week to face charges.
Peoria Fire Under Investigation (Peoria, IL) -- Investigators in Peoria are continuing to happened earlier this week. Firefighters from Peoria were dispatched to the home located on South Warren Tuesday morning at about 5:30. Upon arrival, firefighters found fire around two windows and it was also through the roof of the home. Fire crews were able to get the blaze contained in about ten minutes. Its cause remains undetermined. An estimated $30,000 in damage occurred to the home.
Man Accused Of Attacking TV Crew Found Guilty (Quincy, IL) -- A Quincy man will be sentenced next month after he was found guilty of attacking a TV news crew last winter. An Adams County judge handed down the verdict on Tuesday to 60-year-old Roger Parker. He was accused of coming in contact with a WGEM-TV camera man while a reporter was live on the air. Parker was found guilty of aggravated battery, intimidation and resisting a peace officer. He will be sentenced October 23rd.
Man Headed To Prison For Lying About Bomb Threat (Sesser, IL) -- A southern Illinois man is headed to prison for four years for lying to the feds about a bomb threat. Ray Flener was locked up in Franklin County on Election Day back in 2012 but he told FBI agents that he knew of a plan to use weapons and explosives to disrupt the election. Turns out that was a lie. Flener plead guilty to making a false statement and was sentenced yesterday.
