Parents Need To Be Prepared To Treat Children's Injuries

(Undated) -- You never want your kids to get hurt, but if they do, you need to be prepared to handle the injury. ER Doctor Purva Grover at Cleveland Clinic Children's says if you think your child has a broken arm or leg, try to splint it. According to the CDC, falls are the most common cause for non-fatal injuries to children. Doctor Grover suggests having a first aid kit in case of an emergency. She says one of the most important things a parent can do when treating their children's injuries is to remain calm.
