East Peoria Home Destroyed By Fire

(East Peoria, IL) -- Authorities in East Peoria are looking into a fire that took place Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters were dispatched to the home located in the 100 block of Eden Street yesterday afternoon at around 1. When they got to the scene, they found flames coming from the back of the house. A neighbor noticed smoke coming from the home and alerted authorities. Four departments were dispatched to the home. It took firefighters about a half hour to get the fire out. No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze. No one was at home at the time of the fire. The fire destroyed the home home and the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
