Climatologist Says Average Temps Warmed Up In August
(Undated) -- Illinois weather experts say last month's temps were slightly warmer than average and this summer has been one of the wettest on record. Climatologist Jim Angel said the average statewide temperature in August was 73-point nine degrees. He added that the statewide average precipitation for August was five-point-18 inches. The statewide average rainfall for June, July and August was 14-point 96 inches, making for the tenth wettest summer on record.
