(Undated) -- Dollar General is upping its bid for Family Dollar Stores. The deep discount retailer raised the bid to nine-point-one-billion dollars, or 80-dollars a share. It previously offered 78-dollars-50 cents a share. Family Dollar rejected the previous offer over concerns the deal could violate competition law. Dollar General Store has locations in Canton, Cuba, Farmington and Lewistown in Fulton County.
