Sun-Times Poll Has Durbin Up Seven-Percent

(Chicago, IL) -- As the negative media campaign heats up, a new poll shows the race for U.S. Senate between incumbent Democrat Dick Durbin and GOP challenger Jim Oberweis is fairly close. The Chicago "Sun-Times" poll of likely voters, conducted by We Ask America, has Durbin leading Oberweis 47-point-eight-percent to 40-point-five-percent with a margin of error of about three-percent. Libertarian candidate Sharon Hansen polled about four-percent.
