Canton Man Violated OP (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man is facing charges after he allegedly violated an order of protection. Police say they were dispatched to the 400 block of North 1st Avenue Thursday night at about 8:30. Officers say they found 47-year old Lonnie Smith at the apartment. Police say that an individual was at the apartment that Smith is not allowed to be around. He was then arrested on a charge of violating an order of protection. He was taken to the Canton Police Department where he was processed on the charge. Smith was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown.

Canton Man With A Warrant (Canton, IL) -- A Canton man was arrested on a valid warrant last week. Officers say they spooted 36-year old Robert D. Hillman walking in the area of East Elm Street and 2nd Avenue. Police say they knew that Hillman was wanted on a valid warrant. He was wanted on a 2014 Fulton County Warrant for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and taken to the Canton Police Department to be processed. Hillman was unable to post bond and was later taken to the Fulton County Jail in Lewistown.
