Tollway Cuts Aimed At Making Transponder Easier To Get

(Chicago, IL) -- The Illinois Tollway is cutting the cost of getting an I-Pass transponder. Drivers opening a new account will only have to pay 30-dollars for the transponder after October 1st, compared with the current 50 or 60-dollars. In addition, the deposit required to obtain a transponder will be reduced from 20-dollars to ten-dollars. Also, the minimum amount to replenish accounts, both old and new, is being cut from 40-dollars to 20.
