Farmington Italian Festival This Saturday

(Farmington, IL) -- The Farmington Italian Festival will be taking place this Saturday in Farmington. One of the annual events that has been held in recent years in the Search for the Grande Pomodoro. The search begins on the Monday before the festival is held on Labor Day Weekend. This year, two people found the Grande Pomodoro. Betsy Kimbrell and Diane Morton located it. Kimbrell says that they located the Grande Pomodoro at the Farmington City Building. Kimbrell added that a couple of clues really helped. Kimbrell and Morton will receive the $1,000 for finding the Grande Pomodoro on Saturday at noon when the Italian Festival kicks off.
