Teachers Strike Continues In Galesburg

(Galesburg, IL) -- The two sides in the Galesburg teachers strike negotiated most of the afternoon and well into the evening on Tuesday. At the end of the day on Tuesday, an impasse had been reached. Only one sticking point is between the school district and the GEA, that is RIF/Recall language in the contract. Today will mark the 15th day of the teachers strike in Galesburg. Members of the Galesburg Teachers Association expect that negotiations will resume with the federal mediator this morning at about 10.
