Galesburg Teachers Claim Administration Unfair

(Galesburg, IL) -- Striking teachers in Galesburg have filed suit, accusing the school district of unfair labor practices. At issue is the decision by Galesburg District 205 to release the latest salary proposal to the public before it was given to the union negotiating team. At public hearing last night, teachers and members of the public complained about the slow pace of negotiations and the unavailability of the mediator assigned to the talks. The strike is approaching its third week.
