Galesburg Teacher's Strike Continues

(Galesburg, IL) -- The Galesburg teacher's strike has entered its second week. Union leaders and the school board met with a federal mediator on Tuesday, ending with no resolution. The strike started on Tuesday of last week, after failing to reach an agreement with the school board. Teachers are asking for a one-point-five-percent pay hike, and want to address issues of safety and number of days worked.
