Rockford Lands Jet Repair Facility

(Rockford, IL) -- A new 40-million-dollar facility that will repair jets is coming to the Chicago Rockford International Airport next year. The facility will open in early 2016 and is expected to employ about 500 people. Half of the cost of the project will be covered by Rockford, Winnebago County and the airport and the rest will come from state and federal funds. It will be leased by AAR Corp, which is the largest operator of maintenance, repair and overall facilities in North America.
