New Parking Law For Disabled Veterans
(Undated) -- Governor Pat Quinn signed a new law that should make it easier for disabled veterans to get their handicap parking placard from the state. Typically, drivers must reapply for a handicap parking pass each year, and have a doctor certify that they indeed need it. But this new law, sponsored by State Senator Tom Cullerton of Villa park, removes that requirement for Vet's with a permanent disability. The new law takes effect January 1st.
